About Scrutiniums

A platform of observatories built on official data, with the source and date of every number: Crédito, Setor Elétrico, Eficiência Estatal, Contas Públicas Federais, Contas Públicas Estaduais, Saneamento and Gás Natural.

Who maintains it

Genaro Lins (individual).

Funding

Funded with the maintainer's own resources, with no external funding, sponsorship or advertising.

Independence and conflicts of interest

The person responsible for the platform holds board and executive positions at entities in the financial system. Because the editorial notes have no human review, nobody is in a position to recuse themselves; for that reason the notes do not cover named financial institutions, deposit insurance and resolution regimes, or Open Finance and its participants, and a code-based validator blocks these topics. The full rules are in the Editorial Constitution, published at /en/sobre/governanca.

Corrections policy

Every published error goes into the public error log, with the affected surface, the severity, the date and channel of detection and the fix. Nothing is deleted from the log, and a field that was not established stays marked as not established, never estimated. An automated audit runs on the 5th of every month over the approved notes; a factual error becomes an erratum and an entry in the log.

Public error log (7 errors recorded). Found an error? Write to the contact below, with the page address and the number.

Editorial governance

The notes of the credit observatory follow an Editorial Constitution: every number comes from the gold layer, each paragraph states whether it is evidence or inference, some topics are off limits, there are three independent reviews, and numbers are checked by code. Read the Editorial Constitution.

How to cite

Cite the observatory, the primary source, the reference date and the page address, preferably with a link. Each indicator under Open data and each chart of the credit observatory has a citation button that builds this text with the access date.

For programmatic use, account holders read the files through the read API.
